INFO DAYS : Universitas Syiah Kuala Conducts Socialization of the Erasmus+ IND4.0 Masters Study Program at MTE

Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) team involved in the Erasmus+ Ind4.0 project conducted outreach on the Industry 4.0 concentration area of the Master of Electrical Engineering (MTE) Study Program to Electrical and Computer Engineering students.

The socialization was held in the Seminar Room of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (JTEK) with the agenda of the MTE Info Days event, Wednesday, September 27 2023.

This socialization was held by USK team member, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samadi, M.Sc who gave opening remarks as coordinator, Ir. Yudha Nurdin, S.T., M.T as moderator of the Info days, and Dr. Ir. Roslidar, ST., M.Sc., IPM. ASEAN Eng. as coordinator of the Master of Electrical Engineering Study Program as the main speaker. Apart from that, also present was Ir. Rahmad Dawood, S.Kom., M.Sc., IPM, ASEAN Eng, APEC Er; Dr. Ir. Kahlil, S.T., M.Eng; and Dr. M. Syukri Surbakti, S.Si., M.Sc.

“Ind4.0 is a consortium project supported by the European Union. "This project involves several universities and institutions from Asia and Europe," said Prof Samadi. Like from Malaysia, involving Universiti Teknologi Mara, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and Universiti Kuala Lumpur. Furthermore, from Cambodia, the University of Heng Samrin Tbong Khmum, University of Battambang, and Meanchey University were involved.

Furthermore, European parties involved in this activity are the Hellenic Open University (Greece), Guglielmo Marconi University and Sapienza University (Italy), as well as several partners from Germany (BK-Con), Skybridge Partner, and AMC (Greece). The coordinator of the Ind4.0 consortium is Universitas Teknologi Mara (UTM) Malaysia.

"One of the main results of the Erasmus+ Ind4.0 project is the implementation of the Ind4.0 curriculum in the Master of Electrical Engineering study program," added Prof Samadi.

He explained that the Erasmus+ Ind4.0 project has been running since 2019 and will be implemented at USK as part of the Master of Electrical Engineering Program. After remarks and opening from Prof. Samadi, the socialization was filled with an explanation of the fast-track program in the Master of Electrical Engineering by Dr. Roslidar.

The Fast Track Program is a program intended for students who are taking the Bachelor program in the Electrical Engineering Study Program at USK to progress to Masters in the Master of Electrical Engineering Study Program by adding one year to the Study Program Bachelor.
